Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)*
In-person & virtual sessions
*I have completed the Basic, Advanced & Enhancement ART Trainings
ART is a newer, evidenced-based therapy that uses the best of other therapies (EMDR, CBT, exposure therapy, Gestalt, guided imagery, etc). ART was designed to treat trauma, but is also great for anxiety, depression, stress, grief, etc. It's different from traditional talk therapy because it's much more procedural. I follow a script and guide you through bilateral eye movements that help reprogram your brain and body, which in turn supports you in working through the negative images and sensations associated with a problem or event. ART sessions require at least two appointments: an intake appointment and the ART session.

“We are not capable of healing in isolation. We need other people. We are hurt in relationship and we heal in relationship. Our brain and nervous system are not isolated, but interconnected and social. At our core, we are social beings who regulate through connection with others. Being comfortable in your own skin and having tools that help you relax is a really big deal, but learning how to feel safe with others is revolutionary.”

Insurance
I accept Lyra Health, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Anthem Blue Cross California, Blue Shield of California, Oscar Health, and Oxford. I will stop accepting health insurance in June 2023 with the exception of Lyra Health. This article highlights several of the reasons I have decided to stop accepting health insurance.
If you have a PPO plan, I am happy to provide you with a Superbill.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations are permitted up to 48 hours from your scheduled appointment time. I charge $75 when appointments are cancelled less than 48 hours from the appointment time. If I have availability, you may reschedule within 5 days of our scheduled session and I will waive the fee. I allow clients a grace period of 15 minutes when running late to session and charge the full fee when clients miss their appointment.
Frequent late cancellations or missed appointments (e.g., three in six months) may result in the termination of treatment.
Notice of Good Faith
Under law, health care providers (including therapists) are required to inform clients who don’t have health insurance or who are paying for therapy out-of-pocket that they may request a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges for services at any point. You are encouraged and entitled to request an estimate before scheduling your first appointment. For more information or to dispute a charge that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, please visit the No Surprises Act’s website.
